The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is the world’s oldest international financial institution and was established in 1930. It serves as the central banker’s bank and aims to foster international monetary and financial cooperation.
The BIS recently called for an end to the period of low interest rates that many central banks are currently offering. The central banks dropped interest rates from typical levels to record low values in an attempt to stimulate their economies at the height of the global financial crisis. A couple of years down the line from the worst of that storm and the majority of these central banks are still at or near to these historically low interest rates. The
Amazon strikes again! They terminate every affiliate in a state that requires Amazon to collect sales tax…
He makes a good point, most bloggers won’t go back and delete the Amazon links. They’ll likely refer uncompensated business for years… this is just another form of corporate theft from big business that’s able to “get away” with shafting the little guy.

We are heavily influenced by one another, what we read, what we learn and what we have experienced.
Since Small Business Trends and SmallBizTechnology intend to celebrate the small business influencers in our lives, it really has me thinking about the core values and ideas that shape the way we see and handle business.

Have you seen people going to the store with huge notebooks crammed with coupons and then going out of the store with huge amounts of household items in their cart but not paying very much at the register?
That’s the idea behind couponing… instead of buying one, $4 box of cereal per week, you purchase when there’s a coupon. Then for example you get 6 boxes when they’re on sale and save $18.
If you’re going to purchase the cereal anyway, that’s a great deal. That cereal will still be within its “sell by” date after 6 weeks!
Until now though, I didn’t know where to learn.
I always bought the $1o restaurant coupon books the local school sells (in fact I buy two!) They are full of “buy one get one” restaurant deals. I make out like a ban
